Open this page, drop an MP4 (or WebM / MOV), wait for the green bar, and download. Conversion starts as soon as the file is accepted. You do not need an account.
Trim before you encode
GIF size grows with every extra frame. Set Start to skip intros and Length to the scene you actually want. The encoder will not go past 20 seconds or about 160 frames — long trailers belong in MP4, not GIF.
Width and frame rate
480px is the default: readable in chat, not enormous. 320px is better for stickers. 10 fps looks smooth; 8 fps is often enough for talking-head clips and keeps the palette smaller.
Loop
Forever is what people expect in Slack and docs. Choose once if the clip is a short demo that should not repeat.
GIF quality
Smoother uses a finer palette (larger file). Smaller file coarsens the palette. Balanced is the right default for most clips.
If the start time sits beyond the video length, the tool jumps back to the beginning instead of failing.
